I haven't even managed to even get into a Neighborhood since launch.

yes! And I cant ask for a refund because it is outside the time. It worked fine before the patch. Very annoyed

(Possible Solution/Temporary Fix)
Go to an unoccupied lot (community lot or unoccupied residential, it needs to have no sims, CAS has sims) and disable shadows in the game's settings. Then you should be able to load lots with sims without crashing.This solution was made by a Redditor named: Mysterious_Potential
(It worked for me, might work for you all too) It stinks no longer having any shadow effects in game since that was really cool, but it's a temporary fix to stop the crashing at least) Hope EA sees this, I believe there is definitely an issue with Shadow Effects causing the crashes with Sims, odd how a lot can load fine with Shadows but CAS and any Households with Sims fails and cannot load, so it must be a problem with Shadows on only sims themselves, with empty lots being fine.
