Ive recently gotten a new computer, and asus with windows 10, and i reinstalled my games through origin but i keep getting the error code saying that a required security module cannot be activate? Im googling things and getting several different answers.l I was wondering if any one knew how to fix this?thanksKiana

@JULES1111, thank you for posting that helpful link! I've just got Sims 2 today and it kept crashing in CAS. It's working sweet as a nut now I've added the graphics rules maker :)

@SoniaSimmer, I tried that and it still wouldn't have it. It turns out it didn't want to save a file in Program Files, lol. I copied it into my documents, edited the file in notepad and clicked save, not save as. It saved the file as an sgr, no problem.It's still crashing in CAS occasionally though xD I think I'm just going to let it go and play as my one family I did manage to create.Thanks loads though and thanks to @Scribal_Goddess and @JULES1111 for helping me :)

@SoniaSimmer, that could be it, I've got an integrated graphics card and it doesn't seem to be very strong. The other specs are fine (tri-core processor at 3.3Ghz and 6GB RAM).Oddly enough, it runs Sims 3 quite happily xDI've been playing with my Sims 2 family and I haven't had any crashes in game at all. Thanks again for helping me :)

I went on the live chat and the chap there was very helpful. He said Sims 2 is really old and on CD, it may not run properly on new PC's. Then he added Sims 2 Ultimate Collection to my Origin account, so I'm downloading it now :)

Awesome congrats! :) Glad you decided to go ahead and try to get it. Make sure you let us know if you have any issues.

Thanks @mommy19959699 and @JULES1111 :) Thanks for the new link too! My Sims' shadows were Ok in my CD version but maybe they won't be in the UC?

I want to play it but it's still downloading and I'm off to bed soon xD Only about 6 GB to :p

Ya it is a pretty big download. :D Yes I think everybody had issues with the black box for shadows, with the UC. Someone was nice enough to make a mod to fix it. Before we had to go in and edit files manually. Not fun! :o Don't forget to redo your graphics rules also. Hope you enjoy it even more now that you have everything. :)

@JULES1111...and it's working :) No more crashing in Create a Family! I thought I'd lost my updated graphics rules file when I uninstalled the CD but I found a copy in my documents. I now have my usual family living in Pleasantview and all's going well for them :)
