Cannot scold or praise dogs

As I remember, you're supposed to be able to praise and scold pets, but only their last interaction. Is it possible that the interaction wasn't finished when you tried to scold?

The second issue is a known bug from the original The Sims 2 release, I'll pass it along as well. 

Yes, I am having similar issues. I'm not able to sold/praise pets for all behaviors indicated when the symbol shows (picture attached). And when I do sold/praise the behavior isn't actually being learned. Additionally, when I teach the 'come here' command, it's not showing under 'known commands' but when I select the pet it'll let me command more actions than what I've actually trained them to do. 

 I tried it multiple times. Even when the dog is finished with chewing I still cannot teach dogs this behaviour. It is like this behavior is not even in the game. I even tried a cheat. It worked for every behaviour, just not this one.  Like this doesn´t even exist.

EA_Cade This is also happening to me. Some pet actions like chewing toys, and licking puddles are not options to scold or praise for. This screenshot is following a chew toy action of the dog.

I can't praise or scold my pets after they perform a correct or incorrect action, such as chewing the bone, jumping on the couch, eating their food, among others.

I can praise or scold pets that are not part of my household, but as soon as they become part of the family, I can no longer do it.

I'm facing the same issues, I can't praise/ discipline my pets "to not use human furniture" like kitchen counter tops, chairs, couches. (I'm also not sure if you can discipline them to not fight, but when my cats are brawling my sims can't stop them or discipline them.)

Same issue here. I'm really curious about what changes were made to the source code for this to happen. It's scary to think about what else might be broken in the game! For now, I'm playing The Sims 1 more, it seems to be more stable. Here is a proof video, I can't wake up my dog:

I've noticed my cats can't seem to learn to pee outside, it's always inside in the same spot, no matter how many times I scold... I have now placed a litter tray outside which seems to have done the trick, but it shouldn't have to be that way as when the little meter appears above their heads when scolding it appears to be full or almost full... but then when I look at their learned behaviours, only the 'eating pet food' one appears there, though I have been praising and scolding them for other things...

I'm having the exact issue. The only one I can scold them for is eating human food.
