Disappearing Family Members 2: Blue Boogaloo

Question

So...after the most recent update, edge scrolling no longer works, and all but one of the members of a family I put a lotta time into has disappeared. Again.

I don't understand how this game has been re-released for over a month, and not only am I getting new bugs to contend with, but I also get to (once again) contend with a bug that was, to my understanding, fixed.

This has been a hugely frustrating and disappointing experience with these rereleases. I don't understand how a game from nearly 20 years ago has thrown developers and everyone else involved with ensuring the game is playable for such a loop.

I would have rather waited a few more months to give you guys time to iron out some of those glaring issues than have gotten access back at January's end had I known it was going to be buggier than the terrible apartment building I used to live in.

Use Testing Cheats to spawn the Tombstone of L&D. Then click on it and select "add neighbor to family" and search for the names of the missing Sims. This worked for me. The game had moved my missing Sim out into a townie household for some reason.

I also had to go into SimPe and fix her name because the game had changed it in the files, even though it appeared correctly in the game, but I don't know if this is strictly necessary.
