Thanks for the tips. :)
However, my system specs actually are listed in my initial post regarding the problem. :/ Also, my system is up to date in terms of drivers, OS, and software updates, etc.
In terms of what I've been doing when the crashing happens, as I said, it really is random. I've had it happen regardless of whether I'm creating a sim or moving sims onto lots or building or just trying to play or even trying to exit out of the game or trying to save, etc. Even with the timing of when it happens (ie how long I may be in my game) appears to be random as sometimes it can happen within a few seconds or minutes of getting into my game and other times it happens after more than an hour. It also happens regardless of whether I'm playing a new world or using an existing one. Again, there doesn't appear to be any common factor as to when it happens or what I'm actually doing at the time. The only given is that it does happen. :/ That's also part of what makes this so frustrating. I've even tried the old trick of disabling bumpmaps given that I do have an nVidia chipset, yet even that hasn't helped.
In terms of the Graphics Rule Maker, I actually did grab it off Leefish's site and am running the latest one available which does list my card/chipset on it (my crash logs confirm that the game is correctly detecting it).
Again, thank you for the suggestions and advice. :)
