Are you using Windows 10 home or pro edition?
I am using Windows 10 Home. Maybe trying to update the drivers will fix the issue?
It won't hurt that is for sure. You could also try this and see if it runs.
You need to open regedit (Window+R) and open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then SOFTWARE
For 32 - Bit : Find EA GAMES folder and open the sims 2... change the Display Name... Delete the â„¢ out...
For 64- Bit : Open Wow6432Node then.. Find EA GAMES folder and open the sims 2... change the Display Name... Delete the â„¢ out...

After : The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection
Hey! I renamed the DisplayName thingy but it still didn't launch. :c
