Try this and see if it works:
Hope that works.
- Delete the Sims 2 from Applications.
- Go to /Users/yourUsername/Library/Containers/ (You can get there by holding down the option key while clicking on Go in the main—upper—menu)
- Delete com.aspyr.sims2.appstore/
- Download and install it from the App Store again
