No worries @IdahoGal65 , we'll help you through this. You're in good company with a bunch of old gals here too :)
So your exported TS3 files can be typically be found in the Exports sub-folder, i.e. C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Exports
Using Custard
First locate where you extracted Custard and double-click to enter the folder titled "Custard Cleaner for Sims3 Pack files"
Open Custard by double-clicking on "Sims3PackCleaner.exe"
A window will pop open. now click on "File", "Open" then navigate to your Exports folder to select the file you want to check.
A window will pop open with the contents of your file. There you can see if anything is a concern.
Hope the above is useful. Do circle back if stuck. I have checked your file and it looks clean, however it would be great if you can try it yourself to get more comfortable. Trust me... it gets much easier to more you do it. Tip... you may wish to put your Custard folder where you can easily find it again. I have a folder where I keep all my Sims 3 info with everything neatly in sub-folders.
Re your other questions... checking your original file as stated above is all you need to do. Good luck! :)
