I really like what you are doing so far. I saw in my page you asked if you could use one of my builds Zephir 47 Swap Shop. In case you didn't se my reply, as the feeds move extremely fast. I'm posting here as well , that you can use the build freely (i wouldn't mind a little mention in the description or something similar, but its not really necessary) So help your self , and can't wait to see more pictures from your world :)

I haven't been able to spend as much time in Betelgeuse as I would like ... so progress is rather slow.
But I've managed to take a picture of the Zephir 47 in situ and I think it looks pretty cool! :)

you are very welcome :) I'm glad you like it. Even though the rest of my lots don't really fit with the theme of your world, feel free to use any you like for this or future worlds.
CAW is very time consuming. And sometimes there aren't enough hours in a day to fit everything. Besides the longer a world takes to be completed, the better the result. Rushing stuff may make someone overlook the tiniest detail , that can cause horrible lag or other issues. So don't worry about slow progress, its def for the best. Take your time , and enjoy creating :)

Just thought I'd post a few recent pictures to give anyone who may be interested an update on my very slow but steady progress :)

The world is looking so very nice! :) The fantasy trees look very great in the world! It looks so great how the trees are placed in the world! The colours of them in both the daytime and the evening pictures looks so nice! The different levels of the landscape looks great! Your terrain work creates such a great look to the world! The buildings look great! Very nice peaked mountains! The layout of the world looks very nice.

Oh, what a cute world this is! I agree, taking one's time with a world is sometimes the best approach. I've been working on mine for eons (didn't work on it for a few years, though) and am now slowly working on getting it finished. I've discovered that checking and rechecking routing can be a very slow and tedious process but it's better to spend the time doing it right than to end up with an unplayable world later.

I couldn't help but notice what you said about limiting your store content to make CAW work okay. I have problems with that too so what I've done is have two instances of my game, one I use for playing and the other for building and testing things. To set it up all you have to do is rename your The Sims 3 folder in the My Documents section of your game then run the launcher and a brand new instance will be created. Then you can put any necessary mods in that instance and you'll have a much faster load for building and testing as well as much less trouble with CAW. If I use my play game for CAW it takes forever for CAW to load and exit plus the metadata crashes at a ridiculous rate, like about every other time I try to use the search function on it. Having a build version also gives me a mostly mod-free environment to make sure everything is functioning as it should be. I do have a few mods in it like Master Controller, Overwatch, Debug Enabler and Error Trap plus a few more I find necessary because those will let me know about problems I might otherwise miss, but otherwise it's a clean game.

@BSIRegina, thank you so much for the brilliant tip!! :) I will definitely give that a go as the long loading times and crashes can leave one very frustrated.

It seems to be progress at a snail's pace but I am determined to finish this world in the not too distant future :)
