Kulmala - The 'mainland' is painted non-routable and your sims will not be able to access it. It is essentially a self-sculpted distant terrain. I mentioned this in the intro on page one of the thread: "The islands are the playable area; the mountainous backdrop is a sculpted distant terrain with decorative (non playable) lots" :wink:
Just think of the mountains as a backdrop to the three main playable islands (Garner, Munro and Little Bear Islands).
