I had problems too in the beginning. Hopefully you use a mouse, and not your laptop finger thingy, (very technical term).

Move around with your mouse, right click, hold, and move your mouse to rotate. Use your scroll button on the mouse to go out, or in. You can hold the shift key down to scroll faster. I'm thinking you can use your arrow keys on the keyboard also.
