I have good hopes for Beta 2 because I do think the floating photo frames cause a bit of difficulty for my Mac. Just fixing the one house my sim was in seemed to help get me to day 3 just fine. I think the house I clicked on when I had my hard freeze was a clone of my sims owl house so maybe it had floating frames issues or something else. I think any fixes on known and reported problems will help version 2 work for me.
It is such an awesome world I can't give up on it. Just the discovery of the picnic table near the foot path (which I will post pics of when I return to my computer) was enough to make me want to see all the other hidden treasures of this world. Every lot is just so detailed and imaginative. I love the diner and how the gas pumps were set up and the little bathroom addition around the back was so clever and realistic! But what gets me is that the spaces not on lots are just as beautifully decorated. That is the sort of thing I admired about Great Bear and RFlong's worlds and Castle Canyon, to name but a few of the creative custom worlds I've tried. And it is just the thing that disappointed me about Hidden Springs and Barnacle Bay. In the latter 2 worlds, if you were not on a lot there wasn't much to see while wandering around. (I do think EA team did nice work on its EP worlds and Riverview, though).
I have to take a little break for now as my daughter has gotten quite sick and her tummy is not good and we already had a bit of a cleanup to manage, my husband and I, after her lunch failed to set well. I seem to be coming down with it myself. Bummer, we got over one virus last week and bam! Here is another. But that's life with small kids attending those germ factories called school! :?
