Lovejoy, I would guess the reason you froze was the horse wanted something on a lot they were not invited to go to if those grapes were on a different lot - as the game treats them as sims and generally sims will get a route fail thought bubble unless you tell them it's okay to do what ever they are wanting to do - when technically it is not really a route failure - it's their want to do something the game rules say they can't. With horses being both spawned creatures as well as created ones, there is like two sets of rules - if it was a spawned horse it would have not had any AI telling it the grapes were not allowed as spawned horses can go anywhere until they are adopted. I have seen this problem more frequently with spawned horses than created ones as EA has not quite got the allowables properly set for tameable wild life, and it may periodically defect even for created horses. I have no idea if that was a tamed horse that had been wild or one you created, but it is an EA problem, not yours as the freeze was due to the game trying to find a solution while it was searching for an answer it will freeze, but you solved the problem by deleting the query the horse had made. Sometimes that does work and other times it may even crash your game, but it is always worth a try, as either way it can still crash your game, so you made the right choice and timely as you had no crash.
Not much we can do with it until we get an update. I know the Sims team was tweaking the pets as they were working on that and a few other - older problems while we beta tested ST. Hopefully that problem was part of the tweaking to come.
But you handled it very smartly.
