It's almost gifting time ~ HOORAY!!! ~ so here are a few helpful pointers...

1. Do NOT post any gifts/gift messages before the title on this thread changes to Fall Fun Homemade Gift Exchange ~ Gifting Time!!!
2. The night before you are ready to deliver your gift ~ this can be any time during November 15 - 20 ~ please do a few things first:
- Make sure you have a decent amount of pictures for each gift because these will be used in the gift thread you're creating for your buddy.
- Consider how big your gift is. If you have multiple gifts, you might want to consider gifting them on different days.
- Test your launcher, upload a random item, naming it "Test" to see if all is working as it should be.
3. If you have more then one gift, it is fine to post them all at once or on different days. The choice is up to you, however... please keep in mind that others will also be posting their gifts and I will be busy custard-checking every single gift gift to ensure that all are CC-FREE. I believe the last gift exchange had around 100 gifts from the 19 participating buddies. That's A LOT of gifts to custard-check!!!
4. Regarding custard-checking, I will post messages in the thread letting y'all know that gifts are custard clean or if there is a problem with any of them. I will also post this information on the front page of the thread in the Buddy Gifts section. Custard-checking will be done as often as I can, but there might be a small backlog from time to time as real life stuff happens (for example, I have a minor procedure being done on the afternoon of the 15th). Please be patient and know that all gifts will be checked as soon as possible.
5. Try to be personable. You may not know your buddy on a personal level and that is perfectly fine. Please try to make their gift thread special and unique. They deserve a lovely presentation and so do you!
6. Post gift messages in the main thread for each gift you are delivering/adding to the buddy's gift thread. This will help me keep track of them. For each message, please include the following information:
To: Your person's name
From: Your name
Gift Number:
Link to Gift Thread:
A sneak peek picture of the gift might be nice to include, too. Be sure to include the gift thread link with every message for ease in finding it. As you know, gifts go a-flyin' and if I have a hard time locating them, others will too!
7. It is very important NOT to quote any images in the main thread. You are welcome to quote, just remember to remove all but the first image and it should be fine. This is a rule left over from the old forum where picture heavy quotes could/would break a thread. I don't think there will be a problem now, but let's just keep the thread simple and going steadily throughout the entire "event".
8. Have fun, but please be patient. Gifting starts TOMORROW on the 15th and ends on the 20th. Please don't think that your buddy forgot you if you don't receive a gift on the 15th or even the 16th. Some buddies have a tendency to wait towards the end of gifting time to deliver. ALL participating buddies will get at least one homemade gift during the gifting time.
Have Fun! Be kind and complimentary to one another... buddies worked hard on their creations and compliments are a super easy gift to give!
