Callum, as you may already know, I`m Scottish too, and it is with good fortune that I happen to live not too far from the edge of the highlands (about 40 kilometers from where I am now) and while I haven`t seen as much as I would like, I have visited a fair few places. I haven`t been to Fort William yet, so there you go. I`ve passed not twenty kilometers from it, but never actually visited the town, or seen Ben Nevis.
I go camping (not for the last year or so) fairly regularly, and visit the Angus Glens (Glen Clova and Prosen) a fair bit, seeing as they`re just over an hour`s drive away. It`s really beautiful up there. But, yeah, when you visit these places most of the time everything is cloaked in mist and there`s a lot of imagination having to be used, as half the time you can`t actually see the mountain tops or much else for that matter (Ben Nevis is notorious in that respect) :?
I am about an hour's drive south of Glasgow, so a drive to Fort William can take several hours. I do wish sometimes that it was easier to get up to the highlands because I've heard it is pretty amazing. I have also heard that it is very misty, I think on a good day, during daylight hours, it can behard to see more than the peak of Ben Nevis because their are a lot of mountains surrounding it and they are all similar heights. The best place to see it, I believe is from Loch Lochy (quite a stupid sounding name when you know how to say 'loch' properly  ). As it was just after Christmas, most places in Fort William were closed, however I do remember having dinner at a very nice Chinese Restaurant. I would tell you the name for future reference, but I can't remember .
Here`s another of those dawn darn sneaky , peeks
It is really coming along nicely. I really like your sculpting of themountains in the background! I tried sculpting, but failed pretty spectacularly. I have been doing some practice again recently, and I think I may be able to do some actually sculpting in my next world, other than just faettening out areas that need flattened. Do you use the mountain tool, or do you use the hill gentle and valley gentle combination for mountain sculpting?
