Tangie, ipads, tell me about it :wink:
I bought my ipad in July and I love it. I have the National Geographic World Atlas app too. My map apps take up about 9GB space on my ipad, but I love them.
You know, I was like you as a kid, you know, just looking at an atlas and looking at all these countries and finding it absolutely fascinating. It was the same with local maps I started buying when I was about twelve. I would open them out, lay them on the floor and just look at these contours, roads and place names. I`m sure you can relate to that.
Oh, and thanks for the compliment. I am 99.9% certain Great Bear will be finished in January, and you can quote me on that :wink:
Callum, yeah, I think you would be better off with 1:25 000 Explorer maps as they are more focused on the needs of walkers and hill walkers. I do have a few older maps and their up-to-date equivalent maps. I find it really interesting to see the changes, especially over the decades in your own town.
