I've spent pretty much all weekend in Great Bear. My daughter joined me and we had fun taking our sim camping up at the swimmable pond. There's just so much to do there, and at night we set up a tent.
We got such a laugh because one day both of the toilets clogged and caused quite a traffic jam in that little bathroom:
My daughter was mad that our sim had to unclog both toilets. She said the other lazy sims should do it instead of standing around throwing tantrums!
My sim has done a LOT of eating in this world, between all the cookouts and the ice cream truck that comes by her house:
So she has gained some weight.
I did visit the Curfew. And wow, the bouncer there was quite impressive:
He reminds me of Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I ran out of time to test the stairs while I was there.
I've been so pleasantly surprised to find no texture lag in this world. After about a sim week I have started getting small pauses. I know I've had that happen to me before but I can't remember what causes it.
Is there something I should be looking for in this world specifically to remedy that? So far I did take the laundry basket out of the house that didn't have laundry facilities. I have not yet, but will go check on the spiral staircases WR mentioned and take off the little fences. Is there anything else to look out for?
The pauses are very slight, so it's not a gamebreaker for me. I just can't remember what causes them.
