It was paused...erm, I think it was. I was playing a household and I paused all the action, saved the game and went to add in the townies. I had let my household run a full sim day so as to give time for the register workers to move in. I didn't want my own sims getting stuck at registers. And Bubo was the horse who moved in with the stylist during that sim day I let Story Progression do its thing. There had also been an adoption event in town during that first day. Mr. Brenton McNeil the stylist must have attended and adopted Sunshine the adult horse and Bubo the foal. But why oh why didn't he adopt Bubo's mother? I could find no mom or dad in Bubo's family tree.
Bubo was just full of pathos. I've never seen a sadder character. He was moping with little horse thought bubbles with a line through them--which I took to mean "No Mama" and he had a bad moodlet for lacking a mother. And boy, was he needy. The stylist was going to have to go to work the next day and then what would have become of poor Bubo? It was just a bad situation for me, finding him stuck in Tangie's beautiful empty house, moping around without a mama. The name wasn't helping.
This game is weird. My last edition of Great Bear had a hopping deer stalking my Sim and this one presented me with Bubo. I've started a new save version of the town and I haven't put any sims in it yet. I am wondering what peculiar animal character I will encounter next! :shock: :?:
