Johnny, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. It's appreciated and you might be surprised, but the things you touch on are much like the things I encounter too; precisely that passage about wanting a project to be perfect!
My Sims are all a festival of compromises, really. Sometimes when I get a text from a friend complimenting me on a project I think to myself "Didn't you see that the sim is a troll?". I'm rarely satisfied with my result and I sometimes linger on a little aspect or detail for far too long. So yeah, I'm also know to throw my hands in the air and resign to the notion that the buck has to stop here and upload something that in my perception is beginner-stuff.
Take for instance the color-wheel; You can create literally millions of shades of color and rarely do I end up with the shade I was going for... And most of the time, the shade is too subtle a difference from the shade I started with too!
Your answers helped me a great deal and your worlds (I have them all now) inspire me to go through with my idea for Simmerdeen.
Great Bear is an adventure and I'm baffled everytime I load it. It inspired me to create Julie Greatbear, a Native-American Sim who is perfectly suited to live in Great Bear. I have her in my studio and I present her as a way of giving back to you!
(On that note, I'm so miffed to see a even pink-colored stroller being featured, but not Great Bear... way to motivate the true creators like you and other titans here!)
