Johnny, yes. I have the entire saga =) and I own about 60% of the store...
TBH, Great Bear has been resisting closing down using save&quit from the start, but if I save and go to the main menu and then quit, the game closes normally.
Like I said, EA worlds have no qualms about being save&quitted and your other worlds have no problem too. It's just Great Bear.
I should clarify that in order to be totally sure, I have done a complete fresh install and did not import back-ups after redownloading and reinstalling of everything. (I'm not attached to my savefiles, since I start new familes and so on all the time, once they get rich and have everything I tend to lose interest. So it was no big loss for me! I also use no mods or 3rd party CC)
Here are my PC specs:
Intel Core I7-2600 at 3.4 Ghz;
Nvdia Geforce GT420 at 700Mhz, 1 Gig G-mem, Full HDMI;
4 Gig Sysmem.
I run The Sims at full graphical capability without so much as a glimmer of lag on all EA worlds. Your worlds take some time to load textures inside of buildings, but that is because I enter buildings for the first time and your attention to detail shows here. Once your labor of love has fully loaded, I can come and go in those buildings as I please, so that's not an issue for me at all. ;-)
