Lizzieguin, you know, at this point, I`m not sure about adding Showtime venues and updating Great Bear. I`ve just been playing lately and not touched CAW (well, at least, not for any length of time). My mind is split as to whether Great Bear is really the kind of world for Showtime venues. I have tried placing the Showtime venues in Great Bear (basically the Showtime venues straight from the lot bin), but I`m split 50/50 whether they fit in or not? As it is, I know there are enough empty lots in Great Bear to add the Showtime lots if a player really wants to add them. It may take a little bit of work to make them look right (EA`s 32x29 lot size choices over a straight 30x30 lot size?), but it can be done.
I have more to add to that later in this post...

Rukaya, I like how you said "I finally broke down and bought Showtime". I bought Showtime then broke down :lol: Well, as always, Rukaya, I`m glad Great Bear is working out for you. If you can, at some point, try sending sims to 16 Birchdale to see if your sims experience any routing issues. I have to say, my sims have no problem entering or leaving that lot, whether they live there or are visitors there. This might help DD (and myself) with a routing issue she is experiencing at 16 Birchdale.
Which brings me nicely to...
DD, okay, first things first. The addition of the Hoi Polloi Big Show venue at 11 Mountainfoot. Okay, I went in-game and tried doing just as you had tried and added the Hoi Polloi venue to that same lot (after converting from Residential to Community). I noticed straight away the lot price had dropped to -S2,849 :? I also tried adding the Binder Clip Big Show venue to the 64x64 community converted lot at Riverdale Bend, it showed up with a price tag of -S21,422 :?
Now that`s odd!
After deleting the Binder Clip venue (which resulted in the lot price resorting to it`s original price), I tried adding the MN8 Live Show venue to that same lot and the price for the lot went up as it should have.
I will say that in CAW I added an additional value to the 60x60 and 64x64 lots to bring them up to legacy prices (I think I added a value of plus 7,500), I don`t know if that is somehow affecting either those lot sizes or just the large Big Show venues which are added to those lots? I`ll be honest and say, I just don`t know why this is happening?
Okay, the 16 Birchdale routing issue...
DD, I can`t say I`ve experienced any routing issues at 16 Birchdale. I know my sim has visited the family living there for parties and there haven`t been any issues. Earlier on, when I first started playing in Great Bear, my sim was in the fireman career and put out a fire at 16 Birchdale without any routing issues. So, I`m not sure about that one? If the routing was affecting the ghost buster career as regards that particular lot, surely it would also affect the fireman career (both being Ambitions careers)? I`m stumped?
I`m going to try out a few things regards the Big Show venue lot value issue, see if it makes a difference if the Big Show venues are added in CAW instead of added in-game.
DD, you may have noticed I am stumped a lot by this game. If there was a Stumped achievement badge... :?
I wasn`t much help was I? But you know what it`s like; if ten people play this game and if something goes askew, there are fifteen different reasons for it going askew.
Still, I`m pleased you finally installed GB...even if there is something funny in the water :hunf:
