Ah, I love the idea of the updated version, Johnny. Reading how you are moving things around and placing makes a lot of sense. I had put Verde Park where you are moving the house to and like your idea better. Also, since I'm testing Gem's custom venues right now, it saves me the time of an alteration, which I'm not good at to begin with, LOL.
Do have backups for GB, Johnny. I was also testing a new version of GFH for DM when ST was released. After I added ST lots to my test version and found everything worked right, he then went to move things around and add them in CAW. The file corrupted and he thinks it is because of the ST venues. I'm sure there is no way to know for sure because CAW seems to be able to act up with little to no provocation. I don't want to see you go through the same frustration he did and now Gem, with CAW devouring memory, making it impossible to open her CC world.
Since you are going back into CAW, can you check out why the carpool picks up an entire street over from the two lots I mentioned in another post. Gads, I think the street they are on is North Mtn. but wouldn't swear to it. From testing Gem's custom venues in both GB and CC, the games are starting to run together in my head, LOL.
I'll also mention something else that happened but I don't think there is anything much you can do. My sim had an opp to befriend a celebrity. When I found her marker on the map, she was standing atop the big rock. I was surprised sims could route there but then saw what a lovely view there is, so it makes sense. The problem is EA sim routing, though. When a sim is up there, their feet are very slightly in the rock and they cannot interact, just like what happens if sims are standing on a slope at times. Thusly, there turned out to be a lot of foot stomping, route failure bubbles. I had to give up having him talk to her, it just wouldn't happen.
The above is a unique circumstance that most likely won't happen to many players of GB. I just wanted you to be aware of it. You should have seen my face when I pulled to map view and found that sim's target marker up there. At first, my jaw sorta dropped and then I LOL'd.
Cyberqueen, GB is a gorgeous world. It won't be a waste of your time to play it as is before an update.
Johnny, if you want assistance with testing, I'll be happy to help you if you post a test file. If you prefer to stick with just you testing, I do recommend using a ghostbuster for some of the time. With the number of houses and routes they take through an evening's work, it's a good profession for testing a world.
BTW, Happy Easter, or Passover, or just have a good weekend, whichever is applicable.
