Thanks Cherry09. Yes, those rabbitholes will not appear as you do not have Pets installed.
Cyberqueen, you are too kind. I`m really glad you are enjoying Great bear.
Rukaya, unfortunately, Great Bear will remain as Great Bear. I know it must be frustrating to start a game in a town only to discover there is an update. I feel the same way. I have already deleted the save game I had been playing since January. I want to start fresh when "Showtime" Great Bear is finished. I have already placed the Showtime lots and have started testing. I added 40 of my own sims to spread out the population and so far all seems good. Of course, I haven`t added back my mods yet and will only do so after I know I have done as much as I can to test GB. It`s weird how quickly you get used to Twallan`s mods. I don`t know how I managed to play for so long without them.
DD, thanks for helping me. I appreciate it.
I suspect the carpool stops so far away from the house due to interactions with road intersections. Don`t quote me on this, but there was also a carpool distance issue out at Collinswood ranch and I believe this was down to the road intersection leaving a cul-de-sac (or, perhaps, an intersection and a road coming off from it which ends in no sim routing or no camera routing paint). But to be honest, I don`t know why it happens and it is also a bit of an annoyance to me.
I shall leave the mountain ridge as it is as the situation you described can happen in any town with an elevation where there is no routing paint applied. It doesn`t need to be much of an elevation either. It has happened to my sims on one of the Sunset Valley beaches and also at Crystal Springs. It`s no big deal, I think? Aesthetics over practicality...when it comes to mountaintops, aesthetics win :-)
I have been testing the Showtime lots in GB, and witnessed a couple of Simfests so far: at Verde Park and Mick`s Karaoke Bar. No problems so far.
Thing is, I keep noticing things I want to change just a wee bit, then making little lists to remind me to go back into CAW and EIG to address those little things. You know, things like, add a rodeo cow to Grizzly Joe`s, add dominoes to Cleveland Square. I have added a wedding arch in the middle of the gazebo in the middle of Cleveland Square. I`m going to test it tonight. I have done as you suggested and added two sims to 16 Birchdale (I know you didn`t suggest adding sims to that particular house, but seeing as it had a "history" I felt obliged), one sim has indeed joined the ghost hunter career and is going from house to house, so far, without any issue (including going to 10 Mountainview), the other sim is unemployed at the moment, but is going out to all the bars and lots to test them.
Anyways, so far so good. It won`t be too long before I release the Showtime version of Great Bear. Fingers crossed.
