FINALLY AN UPDATE! ;) Thank you all for being SO patient with me these last few months.
I have to admit it's a little hard jumping into the story again and seeing all these pictures I've saved and forgotten what happened in most of them. Lol! I will just have to wing it and try to remember how I wanted the story to go.
I had to go back into the game and learn names again... ;) It was also at this point in the game previously I had downloaded the Pose Player and really started to use it in my story. It makes the images look more realistic. Enjoy!
Continuation of Chapter 29
The next day was a Saturday. After a long morning of studying, trying to keep her mind off of Daniel, but secretly hoping he would call, Andrea closed her textbook, rested her elbow on top of it with her chin in the palm of her hand. She sighed. She was really starting to lose hope that Daniel would talk to her again. For the first time in her life, she felt truly depressed over a guy...AND was SICK of studying! 'What's the matter with me!?' she cried in her head, 'I gotta get out and go somewhere. Do something fun.' It was a beautiful sunny day, the perfect kind of day to spend at the beach. That's where she decided to go.
The beach wasn't packed like she expected it would be, but that was a relief. She never liked being around big crowds anyway. The cool, salty water from the ocean felt refreshing on her hot skin and she had an enjoyable hour swimming and frolicking around in it. Once she got tired doing that, she relaxed in the nearest lounger.

'Ahhhh, this is nice!' she thought with her eyes closed, 'if only I could be done with medical school and live like this every single day...Someday.'
"Well, well, well," she heard a voice say standing before her. "Do I spot the school Brainiac actually relaxing at the beach!?" Andrea's eyes popped open and she lifted her sunglasses to get a better look at who it was. It was Stephen Brackney.
"Well, well, well," she repeated to him, "Do I spot the school's biggest jock actually having a life outside of the gym?" With that she lowered her sunglasses and leaned her head back again on the chair.
Stephen held his fist to his heart. "Ouch!" he cried jokingly. "You hit me deep Andrea!"
Andrea cracked a smile.
"Seriously though," Stephen said, "It's nice to see you out and about."
Sighing Andrea said, "I just needed a break from studying. Or more like a break from my life."
"Oh?"
Andrea lowered her glasses and eyed him again. "Are you ACTUALLY interested in my life?"
"Maybe," Stephen said with a grin.
With that, Andrea stood up from the lounger and said, "I think I'm ready to get back to studying now." She turned and began heading to shore.
"Wait!" Stephen called, coming to and stopping in front of her. "Does it really surprise you that I would be interested in what's going on in your life? I'm just trying to make some friendly conversation."

Andrea rested her hand on her hip and said, "Oh really? What's in it for you?"
"Nothing!" Stephen said with a chuckle. When he saw she wasn't smiling back, he got a little more serious. "I just wanted to tell you that," he paused, "I appreciate the text message you sent me asking how I was doing. I thought that was very...compassionate of you. Friendly. The way a future doctor should be."
That was not at all what Andrea expected to come out of HIS mouth! For a moment she stared at him in surprise.

Nevertheless, she felt very touched by it. Managing a smile she said, "Thank you. That means a lot."
"No problem," Stephen said.
"So, did they give you a definite diagnosis?"
"Yes and you were right." He paused, just to watch her face expression from that. "I have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy."
Andrea was squealing with joy in her head, thinking about how GOOD she is, but she kept a straight face and simply said, "Wow."
"Wow?" Stephen asked in return, "That's all you have to say? Don't be so modest! I swear I just saw your head grow this much bigger!" He motioned with his hands.

Laughing, Andrea playfully slapped his shoulder. "Oh shut up."
"C'mon," Stephen went on, "you're a strong, smart and independent woman. You know it. Don't be afraid to show others how awesome you are!"
Andrea just shook her head in amazement. "You know you really surprise me, Jock boy," she said.
https://s20.postimg.org/6m3mbmv2l/Andrea_college_42.jpg
"How so Brainiac?" Stephen asked with a wink.
"Well," Andrea began, looking away from him not knowing exactly how to express it. "I just figured all you jocks were the same."
Stephen shot her a questionable look.
"You know? Only caring about yourself and the next game. Shunning us 'Eggheads' as you like to call us."
"I've never called anyone that."
"Ok, shunning us Brainiacs!" She said with a smile.
"Well," Stephen said inching a little closer to her, "maybe I thought you Brainiacs were all the same as well."
Andrea raised an eyebrow, wondering what he really meant by that, but she didn't give it too much thought. It was time to change the subject. "So," she said, clasping her hands together and holding them below her waist. "What did the doctors advise you on how to handle your Cardiomyopathy?"
Stephen elaborated on it for a little bit.

"So yeah, it's a pretty suc'ky situation considering what I want to do with my life, but," he sighed, "they are keeping an eye on me and I'm feeling better about it each day."
"Good." Andrea said happily.
https://s20.postimg.org/vqump1uj1/Andrea_college_43.jpg
"I do need to get going," she said, glancing at her watch. There was still some more studying she needed to do. "It was nice to chat with you again Stephen."
"Same to you," Stephen said and then added, "Andrea."
Andrea grinned and turned and headed toward her car. She couldn't believe that is was Stephen Brackney, out of ALL people, who made her feel better about herself and her life that day.
**************
The next morning, Andrea was cooking herself some pancakes when the doorbell rang.
https://s20.postimg.org/5xq6ey6z1/Andrea_college_54.jpg
'Now who could that be?' she thought as she headed toward the door.
Once she opened it and saw who it was, her mouth dropped and she cried happily, "Daniel!?"
"Hey," Daniel smiled.
"Please, come in!" Andrea motioned with her hand.
Once Daniel stepped inside, Andrea couldn't hold back her emotions any longer. "Daniel," she began, "Thank you for coming over to chat with me."
"Of course," Daniel said, "I'm sorry it took me a while to make it over here. I have a lot going on."
Andrea continued, "I just...feel so terrible with the way I treated you last semester! Really. I'm not THAT kind of a person to just ignore someone who asks for my help." She paused. "I honestly just got way too engrossed in my studies and being bound and determined to make straight A's that I...forgot to care about anyone else in my life. I'm SO sorry Daniel!"
https://s20.postimg.org/sy60irjkd/Andrea_college_32.jpg
"It's ok," Daniel said. "I appreciate your apology." Then he looked down, "It did...hurt...a little bit, being ignored by you, but I understand. I hear medical school is pretty tough!"
Andrea nodded. "It is, but still...I'm very sorry."
"Really, it's alright. I'm ok."
Feeling great relief, Andrea asked, "Would you like to sit down? I'd love to chat about Art with you. I feel like I haven't had time to paint in forever!"
With a smile, Daniel said, "Yeah. I'd like that."
For a good half hour they chatted about Art and other interests they have. It was nice to get familiar with each other again. Daniel expressed that he had been so busy because of family problems. It was taking a toll on him and the best way he knew how to deal with it was to stay busy.
"So," Andrea began at the end of their long conversation, "your sister went to jail just like that?! Without your Mom defending her to the police!?"
https://s20.postimg.org/dber5e5sd/Andrea_college_33.jpg
"Yup," Daniel answered blankly.
Andrea leaned over from the couch and stared at nothing. 'Wow,' she thought, 'I'm so thankful for the loving family I came from! Others are not so fortunate.' She sat up and rubbed Daniel's shoulder for a second. "I'm sorry...that must be hard."
It wasn't long after that that Daniel needed to leave. The two said goodbye with a hug and Andrea felt that last burden being lifted off her shoulders. She said a silent prayer to God as she watched Daniel drive away, expressing her thanks to Him. "I did it," she whispered with a smile. "I made everything right!"
:)
More to come!
