Knock on wood, I'm continuing play without stutters so it looks like placing a step off the front sides of the platform in Lunar Park might have ended them. However, do take a close look at the lot, if you are playing in MBC. Sims do tend to bottleneck in the garage and there are usually as many outside on the sidewalk watching someone play an instrument as there are in the park.
BTW, Rflong, I do know you don't plan on really getting back to MBC until the holidays are over. I really enjoy the world so continuing to test is fun, not drudgery :) . I do like the new apartment building and I do think MBC is an excellent candidate for this type of housing. It fits the theme of the world, imho. Let's face it, a moon colony would tend to be compact and I can easily see both underground habitats, or work places, as well as apt. style buildings.
WR, if someone wants to jump all over me for reporting the death of toddlers, they can go for it. Nothing that could be said would refute what I have encountered in this world and I am attaching some pics to offer proof that it does happen. Actually, it turns out that the game engine annihilates the toddler because there is no grave marker. This is the first world that I have experienced this event in. Something is out of kilter but I honestly don't know what. The housing issue was as good a guess as I could make.
The first pic I had actually taken to show Rflong how I put a security gate up to keep paparazzi out. It actually ends up looking a-ok in the world. If you look carefully right behind the leg of Shante Mayer, you will see her toddler, Landon Mayer, sitting on the ground in the doorway. It wasn't too terribly long after this pic was taken that there was a notice in the paper about Landon's death.
The second pic is of the demographics screen of MasterController taken this morning. Note, no pregnancies, babies, children or teens as I previously reported. After I took this pic I changed back to the Mayer household to see what the family tree would show. Note only the heads of mom and dad on the UI but the family tree looks like a toddler should be present in the household. The pic of the toddler is not grayed out as is customary with deceased sims. BTW, Shante is now an elder and her husband turned to elder later that day. Bizarre, to say the least.
The last pic is for Rflong. I placed a 64x32 lot and put the Banzai Lounge building from the bin out towards the junkyard and cemetary. I wanted to see if the world continued to run smoothly with a second club in place and so far it has. The club construction doesn't look terribly out of place either so I thought I'ld show you where I put it. I use Inge's lot sizes mod that allows me to add additional lot sizes I want for placement with the world editor. I usually use it just for the 30x40 size EA left out but every now and then it comes in handy for me for not used frequently sizes I want to set up :)
