hi - I went ahead and downloaded the world, just couldn't resist despite my skepticism about running it with all my mods and CC. I backed up all my folders just incase everything went up in flames.
I thought I should come and tell you my results after playing it very briefly with a couple of no CC sims and then spending several hours redesigning one of the dome housing lots into a community apartment space instead of a single family house.
Your world works just fine with awesomemod and several other mods I have (Twallans relativity, autonomous woohoo, everyone cleans, etc) plus all the crazy custom content I have. I had no crashing to desktop - which I typically get only if I've got a memory leak issue, a bugged out sim, or a buggy mod.
There is, however, the occasional stuttering going on that a couple of your other testers mentioned. This was me playing it with only one sim in the world, she had no custom content, and she was my pathing tester for my building. Utilizing awesomemod, I prevented random sim spawning other than npc's. I also ran the 'fixall' command Pescado's mod works wonders on many bad issues related to sims actions, seed/gem spawning, etc. I have a brand new PC I just got in Nov. as an early xmas present from my hubby and it has a top of the line processor, video card and extra memory so its not machine perf. related either.. Other CAW worlds I play, even with 'overstuffed' houses (I've put up to 14 in a house using awesomod without performance issues)The world is very slow to load and takes a long time to fill in textures. I believe it could be a terrain issue. Your other issues with the buildings mentioned by others could have been terrain elevation collisions.
Also worth noting - I've always had problems with custom worlds where a rabbithole venue (like town hall) has been buried underground to hide it beneath a custom building to fit the theme of the world (as you have done so creatively). To test that, I went into build/buy mode on your settlement center (town hall) but did not experience a lot of stuttering or movement lag on the topside, only when underneath at the actual community building. I think for my own personal use I will likely use modded custom rabbitholes (rugs etc) from MTS - one mod I have not yet tried yet, haha.
I'm going to use the tools avail in awesomemod to test some more things. I can tell it to insta-spawn a set number of Sims and see if that causes stuttering while they populate and then kill them all off again (destroyallhumans ftw!) to see if stuttering returns with more spawning of sims. I'm not sure, does CAW allow you to set a population cap?
My last thought to you would be to check all of your seed/gem/etc spawners to make sure they are not bugged or causing any issues. I know your other testers said they did confirm spawns. I have found that too many spawners overlapping in a small space (happened in a junkyard of mine) can cause some stuttering and loading issues on that lot.
In closing, I would say the best thing to do would be nuke everything 'unusual' in the game's terrain (underground venues, subways, etc) and try play-testing it that way to eliminate one thing at a time from the equation.
I may do that myself if I really get some time in the next couple of weeks once things here settle down from holidays. :) I want to use moonbase to test my androsim breeding program (laugh) and so I may create a simplified version of your town there, without a lot of venues and subways and other stuff.
