Wow the forum is strange right now. One minute I'm logged in, next I'm not and Liam and I have to stop meeting like this...my husband is starting to get suspicious.
I played a while in the first save I reported on. Then I started a second save with a different character and the houses were filled up right away with no delay. So far in both save games I've had bouncers appear where I needed them.
I'm currently having my second sim in the Abandoned Car and notice there is no sound coming from the wall speakers. I tried turning them up, no luck. I tried skipping a track, no luck. Anybody else notice this or is this something on my end of it?
Save version filled right up with many families within 3 sim days. In that version Antonia Halstead got drafted to the nectar register so in save 2, I'm letting the game run longer and will visit all the venues before I put custom families in.
One thing I've been noticing in all my worlds is almost all of my female bartenders are very overweight while the men are medium to thin build. I wonder why.
Well count me a slowbee for pattern recognition but I only noticed tonight that the fountain in one of the park domes is shaped like a fish. Duh! Derp. Well I must say it was mighty clever to build it like that. I'm constantly blown away by the creativity I'm encountering at every turn. So many little surprises.
I'll check out the sinky-dinkys that WR saw. If sinking becomes a major problem for the rabbit holes is there a way to recolor them kind of grayish if you need to put them above ground? I hope it doesn't come to having to put everything above ground because it's so cool how RF built so many underground access ways and arranged everything. So far I haven't encountered any problems from sinking.
One other thing I noticed when my test sim #1 went to the Nectary, well first off he sampled nectar twice. I got him to clean up after himself but he took the debris all the way upstairs to the bathroom sink. It might help to put a sink in one of the counters there. However...I did notice he kept pacing awhile before setting the platters of nectar down on the counters. There was plenty of counter space so I don't know what caused him to pace like that. I might go in and tweak that section to see if it's decor that caused the pacing and test to see if a sink would be beneficial. Of course it's not necessary to clean up after themselves but I noticed if a sim tastes a lot of nectar there the trays are going to pile up.
RFlong, sorry you are sick. I hope you get over it soon. There's a virus going around where we live that seems to just hang on. Hubby, kid, I, in-laws and hubby's coworkers all have it. It's awful. It sets in as a semi-chronic sinus infection. I am considering asking my doc for antibiotics to get rid of it. I hate doing that because antibiotics give me more problems than they fix, sometimes. They didn't seem to do my daughter any good other than clear up her ear infection. Blah.
