I don't know where to post to envie about her Anna, so I'll just make a note here as I just spent a good two hours playing her on Isle of Sim, and yes Anna is very much a simbot. The jet packs works. She has the simbot voice with a little of the Sims voice mixed in. She does have this weird way of walking though that you get used to and she runs outside to befriend just everybody, from the paper girl to mailman - to anyone running down the street just about if she gets the least bit lonely. She is constantly calculating something like a super brainiac. She seems to love kids and will go out of her way to talk to them where ever I have her go, and they seem to like her a lot as well. I am not sure how she will be romantically, as she seems to dismiss romantic gestures and I get the pop up that Anna thinks so and so is okay or being sociable or nice. I had my very best charmer trying to charm her, and she had a fine old time just keeping it friendly. She changes romantic subjects to talk about a movie or the tv or a house. But she really seems to like my Dillon, so I will see how it goes again tomorrow. But yeah, I can see her as very playable.
She did throw me for a loop when she got hungry and thought of a scrap pile. Then she whipped a pipe out of the air and pushed it down her throat with out losing a beat.
Too funny.
But that strange walk does take some getting used too, but overall, I really like Anna. She seems like she may be fun to play. I absolutely had no problem with her though and no problem with the world with her on it. I even added a good 14 other sims and it all played great. Isle of Sims is a very stable and smooth running world to start with and her presence did not change that at all.
Reg, thanks SO MUCH for this feedback - it means a lot to me! Your descriptions of what Anna's doing on your Isle of Sims made me laugh - two good laughs today, I'm doing great! Anna should be right at home on that island as she was born and raised on an island too (My Elements Isle tribal project... her Mother Sable was a member of my Earth Clan). It's also cool to hear how friendly / loveable she is. She spent 3 times as long as an infant/child (aging up like simbot) so she got a LOT of extra attention from her parents. I think this made her very friendly.
I'm so thrilled to hear Anna uploaded and downloaded ok to someone else and is a viable play subject.
I realize she has a strange lurching walk - that's a quirk of her simbot insides. There's a mod (.package file) over at ModtheSims that can stop that if you don't want it. I use it, forgot I had it on there - hubby loaded that when I was spending time 'growing' Anna up from a baby and she started doing that as soon as she learned to walk and it stretched her all out like taffy! :( (see screenshot of it in my offsite blog http://twistedenvie.blogspot.com/2010/12/anna-sim-androsim.html).
Its that weirdness, and the fact teen androsims can't eat scrap yet which made me put the warning up that you should not play one of these sims as a child/teen. They need to be played from Young Adult onward only.
Hubby's now finished his own androsim and I uploaded him "Tech Noir" to the Exchange. I expect he's very much different and odd, considering the looks my husband gave him as an adult. He has the same parents as Anna, so they are technically brother and sister though not in name or looks. Anna's mama Sable is too old to have anymore children now so Anna and Tech are the end of the prototype generation. I have 8 new Sims mamas with Androsim children growing up on Plutarian at the moment. They will be boarding the first shuttles to Moon Base Delta as new colonists! SO EXCITED!!
