You're welcome and thank you, SS.
You and your family get better soon. :(
~I got to snuggle up and sleep in while hubby cooked and brought me stuff in bed. I'm doing much better, no worries. :D
~Uhg. I read what MTS wants for worlds built with lots and Sims. So many pictures...and words and lists.
Oh yeah, MTS--my great heartbreaker. They made me, and they broke me. The breaking point for me came after completing a Married With Children set of Sims. I did the entire Bundy family, minus the dog, lol...and even made their house--which I didn't try to submit at that time. It took me some ridiculous amount of time--something like TWO YEARS to get it up to MY standards. And it was a seriously good finished product, if I do say so myself. I went to upload and I got rejected because of some custom content that their automated system said was included and was prohibited due to Rose's terms of use. It's a long story as to why I couldn't strip off this cc, but at the time I couldn't get hold of a live person to help me get past this issue and get it uploaded. I was devastated and ended up sharing my work on another forum. The consolation was I got a compliment from the wickedly adorable Kavar at the other forum! MTS did change their upload system so you could interact with a person and get continuous advice and feedback. But their requirements (which I DO agree with as far as credits go) are so onerous and I had so much trouble with my vision problems at the time and trying to use their online form system. I actually "retired" with a HUGE inventory of my best work ever, totally unshared and that has never seen the light of day, rather than try to do the heavy work necessary to comply with their terms and still risk getting a really pick moderator who would reject the whole shebang anyway for reasons I would likely not agree with and resent. Then my Sims2 game crashed and I have never gotten around to reinstalling it to photograph and share my work.
Ah...so tragic. :P Of course now I could use Media Fire but really, I loved having a portfolio of my stuff at MTS. It was my home for years and as I said, I DO understand why they had the requirements they impose. Sigh...but I'm too danged old and tired to be dealing with all that. And as I said, sometimes you get a moderator who has completely different standards from yours and they make you redo and resubmit your work until you want to throw your computer out the window.
Well, in light of what you said, I can understand now why they don't have very many worlds submitted to their site. It is a shame. The standards that served them well for Sims2 seem to be biting them in the butt for Sims3, sometimes.
