"Thank you so much, Tori," Madison VanWatson hugged her friend and roommate. "The political career is exactly what I need to build up my wealth."
Tori Kimura nodded and grinned. "We get to work together. We'll be best friends in no time."
Through Tori's persistent pleading, Madison had been offered a job at City Hall. Several people were getting new jobs in Sunset Valley. Cornelia Goth also had come to work at City Hall. This raised more than a few eyebrows. Beau Andrews had gotten a job at the Outstanding Citizen Warehouse Corp. Yumi Sekemoto and Agnes Crumplebottom started new jobs at the Sacred Spleen Memorial Hospital.
"Okay, Tori, now tell me all about Sallie." Madison had been calling Salvatore Gaddis 'Sallie'.
"I don't know if it's going to work. He wants a woman to be a mother and I just don't want to have to stop working."
"Tori! Tori, Tori, Tori. Didn't you say he was making all kinds of computer programs so you could work when you were at home?"
Tori nodded.
"See? So, you won't have to stop working to have a big family. And, besides, remember what you told me? How you secretly wanted to be super popular and have all kinds of friends?"
"Yeah? What's that got to do with being a housewife?"
"I really need to draw the picture for you? What happens when you have lots of kids?"
"What?"
"Those kids have lots of birthdays! Birthdays need birthday parties."
It started to click for Tori. "And people will love me for inviting them and their children to these birthday parties. I'll be everyone's friend."
Madison grinned. "She does get it!"
