Seeing as using Google translate to make up names makes me look like an idiot, I need to know if these road names translate well. I'm probably going to leave most of the lot names in English unless the name I come up with for a lot is painfully simple (Like "house on the ground"). Putting the word "boulevard" or "avenue" anywhere in a Norwegian-based world, on the other hand, looks kind of silly. So yeah, if you know Norwegian, please help me out:
Castle town roads:
Lavveien
Hjort gate
Hingst vei
Høyveien
Ugle gate
Padde vei
Wilderness roads:
Faregata
Snøskredvegen
Tharald Olafson terrasse
Herre Draugr vei
Himmelen gate
Sveinn Tjúguskegg vei
Outer village roads:
Engergata
Miljøveien
Canute gate
Reistadgata
I am Norwegian. I'm not sure what you ask for though. Do you want me to translate these names? They look ok :-)
Castle town roads:
Lavveien - two meanings: Lichen way or low way
Hjort gate - Deer road
Hingst vei - Stallion way
Høyveien - two meanings: high way or hay way
Ugle gate - owl road
Padde vei - toad way
Wilderness roads:
Faregata - two meanings: danger road or travel road
Snøskredvegen - avalanche way
Tharald Olafson terrasse - Tharal Olavson terrace
Herre Draugr vei - Lord Draugr way
Himmelen gate - Sky road
Sveinn Tjúguskegg vei Sveinn Tjuguskegg (Thiefs beard)way
Outer village roads:
Engergata - meadows road
Miljøveien - Environment way
Canute gate - Canute road
Reistadgata - means nothing :-)
Any more...?
