Two things to quickly address here because I should be packing to leave town, lol.
On the subject of the Exchange showing store content needed. This could be a mistake. I put a sim up the other day that uses only base game hair and clothing. When I went to check the upload I was surprised to see that it said an article of clothing was needed from the store. I didn't use that clothing, which can clearly be seen by viewing the pics. I think perhaps they reused a mesh for part of the items they said is needed and it caused the Exchange to flag it as store content.
I do want to add, though, that I looked at the .sims3pack before installing and there are 59 patterns listed as attached to the world. None showed as corrupt content so they are fine but that was more than I cared to install in my game.
