I'm having this same problem and I have an old Mac (21.5 iMac, late 2009) with an ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB graphics card. This is a new problem that happened after Yosemite. I had it working for awhile, but now it's not working again and nothing seems to be working. Anyone else running a late 2009 iMac with Yosemite having this problem? I've been scouring forums but haven't been able to find anything that's helped.
Your problem isn't incompatible graphics as your graphics card is supported. Do you have a lot of Expansion Packs installed? Seasons, Pets?
