EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

You can choose to play offline. You do have to use your origin username and password, but you don't have to be online to do it. The issue is you still have to first get on line to set the game in off line mode. Some people don't have internet at all to do this. Especially if they are playing on desktop. It's not like you can drag a desktop to a hot spot . Gaming laptops to run this game are more expensive than desktop and not everyone has that kind of money to buy a gaming laptop that will run this game. Just to download the game if you are not playing on disc could take hours depending on the internet speed. Its much quicker to install via disc with TS3.
The sims 4 discs are useless you have to be online and tied into origin to download anyway
