Have a question about the frame rate at the sims 3

Hello, I heard many times it's not good to have higher frame rate than 60 frame rates at the sims 3 and I actually don't know why it's not good and what happens if I have 120 frame rates while playing...

For Win 10, that would be a right-click on the desktop then Display Settings (Screen Resolution for Win 7) > Advanced Settings. Not sure about Win 8, should be similar.

Aren't you on an iMac though, or am I temporarily confused? :)
