Have a question about the frame rate at the sims 3

Hello, I heard many times it's not good to have higher frame rate than 60 frame rates at the sims 3 and I actually don't know why it's not good and what happens if I have 120 frame rates while playing...

Yes I'm still playing on imac but on win 10, boot camp for the sims 3. :)
