Kate Part 3:
A bunch of years went by, Kate had turned 11, she was not a happy child. Her mother also did a bit of growing up and was now a YA, she however had not gotten over Thornton's betrayal, she was too young (20) when it happened to process it as an adult and now she had a big problem acting out. She had a string of one night stands that usually ended with Kate meeting the men in the morning...in less that child friendly situations. Kate started withdrawing from her mother, her grandmother practically refused to talk to her, and constantly told her she smelled like a wolf. Riley and Kate however were inseparable, Kate spent most of her summer over at Riley's house.
Kate's dreams were at least pleasant enough...(she is artistic):
At least most of them, Her mother had been muttering about how much of a low life cheater her father was earlier that day, guess it does affect the kids:
Erika meeting strange men and luring them into her bed...(Dylan isn't strange but he is easy..).
Maybe Erika should mention she has a child at home so the guys don't tromp around in their undies the next morning. Kate knows the bedroom door being shut means she gets to sleep on the couch.
Kate meeting Dylan, they had a nice chat, Kate didn't seem to notice his inappropriate attire..
Kate went over and worked on her painting while Dylan rushed into the bedroom to find his pants.
Riley came over and asked Kate if she wanted to play..
They decided to go to the park and practice some soccer: (Thornton is right in the background, Kate would have no idea who he was even if she did see him):
Next day they went to the school playground and played around on the fort:
Spotted a snake, Riley dared Kate to pick it up but she was a little scared so she said no way, but they watched him for awhile.
They stayed out past curfew and played in the sand and discussed the pros and cons of love, Kate decided it was a bad idea:
It was a good weekend for Kate..
It was another bad night for her mother though, she was drunk and mumbling about lying and cheating:
