No retirement option?
My sim just became an Elder so I went to look through the job options and retire wasn't there. Am I thinking of sims 2 or have I missed something?

I think it was Ambitions, but you should be able to go to City Hall and "Register as Retired". You won't get a pension, but you also won't keep getting wishes/opportunities to get a job.
