Please Help: What laptop are you using?

Hi, I'm trying to get back into the Sims 3, and at first it could handle my legion laptop. But now it seems to lag really bad. I don't know if it's because of an update and I have to change my settings or what.

I cant even build a house. I can put 2 pieces of furniture down-and this is without changing the swatches. And then the game lags so bad it even freezes for several minutes. I haven't even tried playing yet. So, anyway. This game used to work on my laptop, but I rarely played it on this computer. And I do remember Sims 3 being a laptop destroyer....although I have had more success with older and less fancier laptop and several more CC than what I've got going on right now.

ANyway, if you're having a successful time on Sims 3, please tell me which laptop you're using. I don't have a desk, so I can't do a desktop.

I will also be putting this on the bugs page, since maybe my computer can handle it with a few fixes. But I'm not tech savvy. And I want to play tomorrow, since the amazing game I was setting up today got marred by the  incompetence of technology in  the 2020s. I love the sims, but, man. I always have to remember to never get excited, because the second I actually look forward to playing it, something always happens. Just gotta play it feeling neutral, I guess. Lol

  • K-bobster  My laptop is a Mac, so I'm not going to be helpful here.

I'll answer you in the tech section for the troubleshooting, but I do want to say that Legions are generally very good gaming laptops that hold together well.  However, any laptop can start to have overheating problems, and any computer can have a software issue that affects the game.  Either one could tank performance on otherwise perfectly capable hardware.
