still more problems with the store and downloads

I am having terrible problems after a Google upgrade trying to download from my purchase history from the store as when I try to click to download I get a message stating use the internet explorer or firefox I don't use either and I have never experienced this problem before? however I did try the internet explorer and it still would not download anything.. I don't think at this point i want to have to download firefox to give it a try but I am not sure after all these years why the store is even asking me to do that?

I then tried to download player made lots from the exchange and I just get something that looks like a package file no simpak..

I am hoping someone may recognize what these issues are and give me a head's up about what to do as I have no clue..

    The store downloads work better with internet explorer or firefox. Try clearing Internet Explorer's cache.Even if you don't use it, the launcher relies on it, and the cache still needs clearing.Do a search on your computer for IE, then clear its cache.

    As for the .package,like I said it may be because the lot contains modded items or 3rd party content.

    apologies I missed your post.. I have left it several days now to see if the store content I owned (but is now showing as not purchased) righted itself but is has not looks like I need to put an afternoon aside to try and spend contacting EA over it next week :/
