I think it depends on how long they remain "on ice."
Just to illustrate why I said "on ice": The game uses the term "hibernation", and with winter, I thought of ice.

The reason for my post is something else though. SP divorced my founder couple. I didn't see a notice, but may as well have missed it. The caste settings are "Romance: Allow" and "Breakup: Disallow". Seems like divorce is not covered by "Breakup". Now, I wanted to divorce them without much drama, anyway, as they are not living in the same household and have different people they live with at the moment, but this took me by surprise.
I'm not sure, either, how the game treats the "Eternally Faithful" moodlet. The wife's moodlet survived everything from starting new romantic relationships or even the divorce. Good for her, I guess. The husband never got the moodlet in the first place, although he hadn't dated anyone else half of his life, or rather, all the time after he had met his wife, until I had enough of that nonsense. I've seen that his new partner has the same moodlet, also just started some new romantic relationship with someone else, but didn't lose the moodlet, either. Does anyone know how this works, or is this simply bugged beyond help?
