Why are my sims depressed?

Two of my sims are suddenly miserable, despite the positive moodlets. I have no idea why. Can anyone give me advice?

Welcome. I have no idea why an expensive bed makes a difference but it does. The problem started either after the latest patch or after I installed Late Night. I don't know which.
