i can bake but i cant put the goods on the shelfs

or sell anything

and other sims keep on baking when i havent hired them

Do you actually own the lot with the venue on ?

you need to own the venue to place items in the displays and the lot type is set to hang out and yes other sims will help themselves to stuff ( especially once any lot is set to hang out )
