Re: Sims 3 constantly crashing on high end gaming laptop

@UnderDFX096  The first question is whether you've manually limited in-game framerates.  Sims 3 doesn't have a working fps limiter of its own, and the wildly high framerates your card is capable of generating would be enough to cause crashes on their own.  Even if you're using something to limit fps, please check anyway: open the cheats console (crtl-shift-C) and enter "fps on" without quotes.  A number will appeara in the upper right corner of the game window, and it should never go above the refresh rate of your screen, probably 144 Hz given your other hardware.  If it's higher and you want help limiting it, just let me know whether you play in fullscreen, windowed, or both.

Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

My FPS is limited to 60 FPS using nvidia inspector. When checking ingame using the cheats codes the FPS is showing as 60 FPS. This never used to an issue on my old laptop that was running windows 10. This only happened on my new laptop which is running windows 11.

@UnderDFX096  A number of the errors in your dxdiag are a type that's usually related to the graphics driver, so the place to start is reinstalling the Nvidia driver.  Since the one you currently have installed is newer than the latest one offered by Acer for your laptop, you'll need to clean uninstall the current one first.  Instructions are here:

    https://crinrict.com/blog/2019/02/clean-re-install-of-graphics-drivers-with-display-driver-uninstaller-ddu.html

You can get the newest driver from Acer here:

Even though there's a newer Nvidia driver, this one is certainly recent enough to work, and it's better to try this one first: manufacturers often tweak their drivers to work better with their laptops.  You can always update later if necessary, but for now, please try this driver, and don't update it or enable auto updates in GeForce Experience.  Speaking of GFE, the clean uninstall process will remove it, but you can download a new copy from the same place.  It's not necessary to install it at all though, and it's best to decline its offer to optimize your game settings.
