Thank you. I am assuming that you are installing the patch onto your game installation which had originally been installed from your disk?
It would be nice to know the following:
- Which region are you located in?
- Which download link are you trying to use to patch exactly?
- Which game version had been running prior to attempting to patch to the latest (1.63)? You can find the number in the launcher's lower left corner.
If you are tech savvy and your bandwidth allowance permits this, it would be great if you could alternatively attempt a full re-install via Origin:
- Close the game and log out off Origin
- Manually Uninstall the Sims 3
- Start Origin again and log in
- Go to "My Games" click on the Sims basegame and select download to start re-installing the game.
