Re: How to Fix the "You don't have access" Error in EA app - '24
Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with The Sims 3 on the EA App. I originally downloaded the game in 2021 through an EA Play subscription. Recently, I renewed my EA Play subscription hoping to play again. The game appears in my EA library with the label "Standard Edition Owned", and when I check the store page, it also shows that I already own it.
However, when I try to launch the game, I get this error:
"Game ownership disabled or deleted."
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
- Signing out and back into my EA account
- Deleting all files inside the Licenses folder (mine was empty)
- Deleting and reinstalling the EA App
- Reinstalling the game
- Clearing the EA App cache
- Restarting the app and my PC
- Running the EA App as administrator
- Repairing the game from the EA App
- Trying to open the game with no add-ons or expansions installed
Unfortunately, none of this has resolved the problem. The game still won’t open. I’m not sure if the system is failing to recognize my EA Play subscription or if something is broken with the license. I also spoke to an EA support agent, and they confirmed it appears to be a bug and said they would report it.
+ I’m not sure if the game is no longer included in the subscription, but it still appears as if I own it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
