Expansion Pack Proposal – The Sims 4: Creepy Crawlies
Dear The Sims Development Team,
I would like to share an idea for a future expansion pack for The Sims 4 that I believe would make the game feel even more alive, immersive, and unpredictable.
Expansion Theme
The Sims 4: Creepy Crawlies
The world of The Sims is beautiful, but it often feels a little too perfect. Everyday life includes insects, and adding them would create new stories, funny moments, challenges, and personality-driven gameplay.
New Insects
The game could include:
- Flies
- Spiders
- Mosquitoes
- Ants
- Butterflies
- Bees
- Dragonflies
- Ladybugs
- Beetles
- Crickets
- Moths
- Fireflies
Each neighborhood could feature different insects depending on the season, weather, and environment.
New Personality Traits
Examples:
- Arachnophobic – Sims panic when they see spiders.
- Bug Lover – Enjoys observing and collecting insects.
- Nature Enthusiast – Likes living alongside wildlife.
- Squeamish – Easily disgusted by bugs.
New Gameplay Features
- Swat flies (“Shoo, flies!”)
- Remove spider webs.
- Catch insects with jars or nets.
- Build insect terrariums.
- Study insects to improve Logic or Research skills.
- Collect rare insects for museums or personal collections.
- Attract butterflies and bees by planting flowers.
- Hire an exterminator when infestations occur.
- Children can learn about insects through school projects.
- Pets may react differently to insects by chasing or observing them.
Dynamic Events
- Mosquitoes can appear during warm evenings.
- Spiders may build webs in neglected rooms.
- Flies can gather around dirty dishes or overflowing trash.
- Fireflies appear during summer nights.
- Butterflies increase the beauty of gardens and parks.
Why It Would Be Fun
This expansion would add realism, humor, and countless storytelling opportunities without changing the core gameplay. Every household would react differently depending on each Sim’s personality, creating memorable and often hilarious situations.
Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion. I’ve been a fan of The Sims for many years, and I hope this idea might inspire future content for the game.
Kind regards,
A passionate Sims player
