Gameplay Suggestions for Future Sims Content (Zoo & Wildlife Systems)
Dear The Sims Team,
I am writing to share some gameplay ideas that many Sims players, including many international fans, would truly love to see in future packs. I’ve removed features that already exist in The Sims 4 to keep this list focused, clean, and helpful.
1. A Fully Interactive Wildlife & Zoo Expansion (Major Request)
One of the biggest dreams of many players is a real zoo or wildlife expansion pack. Something that goes beyond small pets and farm animals and introduces deep, system-based animal gameplay.
Zoo / Wildlife Park Concept
- Build and manage your own zoo, wildlife park, or animal sanctuary
- Create enclosures for different species
- Hire staff: keepers, trainers, veterinarians, cleaners
- Educational tours, feeding times, interaction shows
- Ticket sales, visitor reactions, reputation system
- Animal enrichment items (climbing structures, ponds, heat lamps, plants)
- Different biome zones: savanna, rainforest, Arctic, desert
Large Wildlife Animals
Species that players would love to see:
- Elephants
- Tigers
- Lions
- Giraffes
- Zebras
- Hyenas
- Monkeys & apes
- Penguins
- Seals
- Crocodiles or large reptiles
Each with unique behaviors, enrichment needs, and personalities.
Wildlife Ranger Career
A career connected to the zoo system:
- Rescue injured wildlife
- Rehabilitate animals
- Bottle-feed babies, transport animals, track behavior
- Release rehabilitated animals back into the wild
- Handle emergencies (escaped animals, sickness outbreaks, etc.)
This would add storytelling, realism, challenge, and a completely fresh gameplay genre.
2. Exotic Pets & Bird Gameplay (Huge Fan Request)
Players would absolutely love more complex small/exotic animals. Especially birds.
Bird System
- Parrots, macaws, cockatoos, parakeets, toucans
- Birds that fly freely inside AND outside
- Shoulder-perching, bonding, teaching tricks
- Bird carriers so you can take them outdoors
- Birds escaping if doors aren’t locked or relationship is low
- Aviaries, outdoor bird enclosures, training stations
- Breeding rare species
- Unique personalities (timid, social, dramatic, mischievous)
Reptiles & Exotics
- Snakes, chameleons, iguanas, turtles, hedgehogs, ferrets
- Custom terrariums with heat lamps, humidity systems
- Feeding behaviors and special interactions
This would greatly expand storytelling potential for households that love animals.
3. Cars, Cruises & New Travel Experiences
Since some traveling options already exist, here are NEW concepts not yet in the game:
Drivable Cars
- Driving skill
- Car maintenance
- Road trips
- Parking garages and home driveways
Cruise ship Vacation World
- Book cabins
- Ocean events
- On-ship restaurants, pools, activities
- Ports with mini-tours
- Storm events or sea adventures
North Pole Kingdom / Arctic Pack
- Igloo sleeping
- Reindeer interactions
- Snow huts
- Ice fishing
- Northern lights activities
4. Fashion, Jewelry & Hairstyles
To expand CAS even more:
- More cultural hairstyles
- Detailed braids and textured hair
- More jewelry: anklets, nose rings, detailed earrings
- Fashion-forward streetwear and luxury clothing
- Long nail designs and nail shapes
5. Improved Adult Life & Realism
Children add teens already have school clubs and sports activities, so here are new ideas specifically for adults:
Adult Activities & Systems
- Adult sports leagues (volleyball, soccer, boxing gyms)
- Book clubs, hobby groups, community events
- More dating features, compatibility systems, and relationship depth
- More impactful memories and long-term personality development
Medical Career (Upgradeable Hospital System)
- Full hospital you can build and manage
- Nursing, surgery, delivery rooms, emergencies
- Specialist branches: pediatrics, trauma, oncology
- Medical research lab with experiments
This adds realism and progression for players who enjoy life simulation depth.
6. More Global-Friendly Release Times
Many European and international fans receive packs later than the announced date, often a full day later.
A more synchronized global release time would help all players feel equally included and excited.
