Fabricator issues (Eco-Living expansion)

Hi everyone, 

I am a new Sims 4 player who installed the base game and three expansions ( eco-living, cottage living and vintage glamour) in the beginning of this month.  For a few days, everything worked fine. Today however, all of a sudden my sim's Fabricator refused to complete upgrade parts. She works in the green technician branch of her career and needs to complete an eco upgrade part, but no matter how many times I click on the fabricator to fabricate this part, her career task says: "not started" and even though my fabrication skill slowly develops, no parts come out when using the fabricator. I have enough bits and pieces to use, the placement of the fabricator is correct, I sold it and placed a new one, restarted the game after each of those steps....I am getting desperate here. How do I fix this? is there another way for me to issue a game ticket to Support?
