Re: something went wrong error..

Kia ora team!

Sims4 needed an update. When i went to go update it, it would give me 'unknown error - restart the EA app or contact us about the issue'. 

I restarted the EA app a few times, uninstalled and reinstalled it, and tried app recovery. App recovery did nothing. When i tried to repair the game it told me it was managed by steam and couldnt do anything (?? it is not). I tried restarting my computer to no effect.

Eventually i decided to back up my saves + mods and unstinall sim4 and reinstall it in hopes it would work. But now, despite being in my library with several thousand hours, and being a free to play game, i cannot download it both from my library AND the store page because every time i try, it tells me its cancelled my download because i dont own the game and need to go get it from game hub. Yes, EA, i promise i already own this free to play game.

Please help! I backed up my saves so im not too upset but this is pretty annoying lol
